Paint correction is always custom-quoted because vehicle size, paint condition, and level of correction needed all vary. We do a free inspection of your paint under bright light, then give you a transparent quote based on what your vehicle actually needs — whether single-stage, two-stage, or multi-stage. No surprise add-ons.

The correction itself is permanent — we physically remove defects from the clear coat, so they cannot come back. However, NEW swirls and marring will appear over time from washing and use. To preserve the corrected finish for years, we strongly recommend applying ceramic coating immediately after correction. Without coating, expect 1–2 years before new defects accumulate.

Single-stage uses one polishing step for newer cars with minor defects. Two-stage (compound + polish) removes 80–95% of defects — most popular, recommended before ceramic coating. Multi-stage adds a third refinement step for show-car finish — required on older paint with heavy oxidation, deep scratches, or severe orange peel.

It depends on depth. Paint correction removes a thin microscopic layer of clear coat — so any scratch that hasn't gone through the clear coat can be polished out. Rule of thumb: if you can catch the scratch with your fingernail, it's too deep for correction alone. Light surface scratches, swirl marks, water spots, and oxidation are exactly what correction is designed for.

Yes, if your paint has any visible swirl marks, scratches, or oxidation. Ceramic coating locks in whatever is underneath it — including imperfections. Coating un-corrected paint means those defects become permanent under a multi-year protective layer. For brand new vehicles with perfect paint, correction may not be necessary, but most cars over a year old benefit from at least single-stage correction first.

We bring our own power, bright LED inspection lighting, professional dual-action polishers, and pads. Indoor or covered spaces are ideal because they protect the work area from dust, but a shaded driveway works fine on calm days.

Time depends on vehicle size, condition, and stages needed. Single-stage on a sedan takes 3–4 hours. Two-stage typically 5–7 hours. Multi-stage on a large SUV with heavy defects can take a full day (8–10 hours). We give you a clear time estimate with your quote.
